We first told you about it two years ago, but sometimes projects can take a while to get the publishing fully agreed. This was one such example. Even at the eleventh hour the publishers made a request for the title to be modified and the original sleeve to be altered. It turned out to be a good thing because I absolutely love the new design, below, created by Zoë Baker – Graphic Design. It is perfect.
Anyhow, at long last we can proudly say, released today, on Energise, over all usual digital platforms, is the fabulous 7th Heaven-produced medley of two songs from the hit musical ‘Hairspray’, performed by the lovely Leanne Jones, best known for playing Tracy Turnblad in the West End production. This fabulously fun, uplifting remix is released just in time for the upcoming party season. The release has two mixes, the full length 7th Heaven Showstopper Club Mix and the 7th Heaven Showstopper Radio Edit.
Despite the hold up from production to release we are pleased to say that the project is not only fully-approved with Universal, it has the complete approval from the writers of ‘Hairspray’, Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, who have heard it and love it. Quite an endorsement.
