The Communards have this week dropped a 7th Heaven remix of their classic 80s #1 hit ‘Don’t Leave Me This Way’ on London/Because. The group will reissue their eponymous debut album as a new expanded package to celebrate its 30th anniversary in December. Ahead of the big release, the duo has hit up digital platforms with a new remix of the tune, courtesy of 7th Heaven. As you’d expect, it’s a big remix!

7th Heaven has remixed one of the hottest dance tracks of 2021, New Hype’s ‘Love Again’, for Armada. It’s set for release in early November. It will be promoed to UK DJs shortly. It’s a big mix of a huge track – you’re going to love it!

Released tomorrow, the remix package for Steps’ ‘The Slightest Touch’. With remixes from 7th Heaven, Shanghai Surprise and Gareth Shortland, it’s the perfect pop remix choices for the perfect pop song.

Jon is this week putting the finishing touches to the upcoming 7H Label release, 7th Heaven ft. Polina Griffith ‘Never Can Say Goodbye’, which I’ve scheduled a release date of Friday, 29th October.Friday, 10th December is the release date for Neo’s Project ft. Alison Jiear ‘Aquarius’ (7th Heaven & Hex Hector Remixes).

Big thanks to Neoteric’s Martin Brooker for allowing us to release ‘Aquarius’. Many 7th Heaven fans have asked us to get this out. We had forgotten that Hex Hector completed a quite brilliant remix of it in 2011, so that’s also included.

Hot news, folks, the next 7H Label release is 7th Heaven ft. Polina Griffith ‘Never Can Say Goodbye’. It’s a biggie! Jon is still working on it but it is sounding huge. Think 7th Heaven Mirrorball meets Purple Disco Machine.

One of the first 7th Heaven remixes completed back in 2006 was for A-Studio ft. Polina’s epic house anthem ‘S.O.S’, a tune I loved, so it’s fantastic to be working on this great new version of the soul/disco classic, with Polina’s amazing vocal. This girl has the most fantastic voice.

‘Never Can Say Goodbye’ was originally intended by Motown for The Supremes but was in fact first recorded, in 1971, by The Jackson 5. It has been covered numerous times since, most notably in 1974 by disco diva Gloria Gaynor and in 1987 by British pop group The Communards. Our version is a homage to those two timeless disco versions.

We’ve yet to firm up the release date but mid-October is the plan, on 7th Heaven’s own 7H Label.

Also, keeping you up-to-date with future plans, the long discussed 7th Heaven album of productions is set for late 2022. The delay is due to us waiting for licenses of a couple of tracks to revert back to us, plus we’re intending to record at least 2 new tracks especially (and exclusively) for this album.

Set for release in late October/early November, Nick Jay ft. Silke ‘Break The Chain’, featuring a great remix from 7th Heaven. Fans of 90s NRG will remember Motiv8’s 1995 original. We’ll give you more details as soon as we have them.

A 7th Heaven remix completed and released last year (that didn’t get the exposure it deserved because the world was in lockdown) is RetroPopBoy’s super euphoric ‘Never Felt As Good’ and we love it. It is being re-promoted for the autumn.

Written by Barry Stone (with a small lyric revision by RetroPopBoy) this Pet Shop Boys-esque track is pop perfection. Some of you will remember the song from Stone’s ’90s pop alter ego Belvedere Kane.

It’s available to purchase on various digital platforms now although Fernando (RetroPopBoy’s real name) is planning a re-release in the coming weeks.
