We’ve just heard that the 7th Heaven remix of Jessica Mauboy‘s Australian entry to the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest, ‘We Got Love’, has been approved by Sony, Australia. We’re told it will be released soon.

7th Heaven were thrilled to be asked to remix SuRie’s ‘Storm’, which will represent the United Kingdom for the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest. It’s a fab song so you can imagine how good the remix is! It is due to be club promoted, and released on MMP, very soon.

The first 7th Heaven remix of 2018 is the new single for Una Healy, ex The Saturdays, entitled ‘Never See Me Cry’. It is due for release in the spring on 10/10, an imprint of Fascination.

Jon has been appointed Music Producer for series 2 of ‘Jane McDonald & Friends’ and is currently in pre-production for filming in May at Salford’s Media City HQ1 studio complex. This is a massive undertaking arranging all of Jane’s songs as well as duets and medleys. He’s working closely with an amazingly talented house band comprising of Seán Barry (MD and keys), Steve Cooper (guitar), Richard Hammond (bass), Jamie Little (drums) and Jim Pitchforth (percussion and vocals). Post production will see Jon back in his own studio mixing all the shows songs prior to broadcast later in the year. Jon is also preparing material for Jane’s 20th Anniversary tour which begins in June.

7th Heaven’s pop alias StarLab have remixed the latest single ‘Together In Electric Dreams’, from Ross Alexander’s excellent ‘Glitter & Twisted’ album. This fab reworking of the Phil Oakey & Giorgio Moroder’s 80s classic is due for release on German dance label Sounds United soon.

Get ready for the 7th Heaven remix of the new Mel & Kim single! Unbelievably, it has been three decades since the last official Mel & Kim single but Dancing Nation Records are excited to announce the release of the trailblazing duo’s fifth official single, a completely unknown track titled ‘Where Is Love’ remixed by the UK’s biggest commercial remix team 7th Heaven. The Hackney-born sisters’ star continues to burn bright and their rags to riches story, which reads like a Hollywood movie script, still inspires fans – new and old – to live life to the fullest and to have the confidence to go after their dreams. The 2018 release of ‘Where Is Love’ will add a new layer to the Mel & Kim story and shine a light on the achievements and talents of two girls who truly embodied the term ‘phenomenon’!

Jon Dixon has produced all the tracks performed by Jane McDonald in the hit Channel 5 series ‘Cruising With Jane McDonald’, due to be screened early in the new year. Tracks include ‘California Dreaming’, ‘The Winner Takes It All’, ‘Proud Mary’, ‘It’s Oh So Quiet’, ‘Silent Night’, ‘Something Inside So Strong’, ‘Mambo Italiano’, ‘Lost In France’ and ‘Cuba’. Series 4 is now been commissioned.

For the last 2 years DJ/producer/remixer Ross Alexander has been putting together (and self-financing) his first solo album project. Jon and Andy were thrilled to be involved with the song selection and production of many of the tracks. That album, titled ‘Glitter & Twisted’, is now available to order through PledgeMusic, in various formats – CD, vinyl, download etc. The album features brilliant reworks of 80s pop classics such as ‘(Keep Feeling) Fascination’, ‘Obsession’, ‘Kiss Me’, ‘Doctor Doctor, ‘Don’t Tell Me’, ‘Deeply Diippy’, ‘Safety Dance’, ‘Brand New Lover’ and more, produced either by 7th Heaven’s pop alias StarLab or the fabulous Matt Pop. It really is a fantastic project. A labour of love for Ross and something I know he is incredibly proud of. Completed this week is ‘The Last Song’, which is in fact the last but one song, for Ross Alexander’s forthcoming album ‘Glitter & Twisted’ which has mostly been produced by Jon. He has thoroughly enjoyed working on this album. Both he and Andy had an input in the choice of songs Ross selected. We think you’re all going to love it.
