It has been a big secret we have kept close to our chests for weeks but we can finally announce that 7th Heaven has officially remixed Cher’s epic new single ‘DJ Play A Christmas Song’ for Warner.

It is, as you’d expect, a super-anthemic pop mix, perfect for all commercial DJs, Cher fans and 7th Heaven supporters. Jon Dixon doing what he does best – taking an already superb pop production and making it a peak-time roof-raising floor-filler. 25 years after he produced the legendary Almighty remix of ‘Believe’ it was fantastic that he was asked to remix ‘DJ Play A Christmas Song’. It received a big thumbs up from everyone in the Warner/Cher camp, which we were delighted about.

No release details yet but we imagine sometime in November.

‘DJ Play A Christmas Song’ is the first single from Cher’s new album ‘Christmas’, out now.

We can now officially announce that 7th Heaven’s new release is ‘You’re Still The One’ featuring one of our favourite vocalists, the fabulous Shanie (the voice of Alex Party’s 90s international hits ‘Read My Lips’, ‘Don’t Give Me Your Life’, ‘Wrap Me Up’ and more recently the smash dance project Charlie Big Potato).

It is, of course, an epic rework of Shania Twain’s hugely popular 1997 country/pop classic. 7th Heaven’s version is, as you’d expect, a peak-time, roof-raising anthem.

There are additional remixes from Friday Night Posse, Bassmonkeys and Flex, so there’s something on this remix package for all.

It is due to be serviced to DJs imminently by top UK club promotions company Poparazzi/Power and soon after by CD Pool. Release is planned for Friday, 3rd November 2023 (on label NuHope), perfectly timed for the party season.

Being promoed to UK DJs through Eurosolution this week and released today is the exciting new 40th Anniversary 5 Star EP from the super-talented Deniece Pearson, lead singer with legendary 80s pop group 5 Star (often styled Five Star). It features a brand new single ‘Forever Young’ plus the 7th Heaven-produced remakes of 5 Star’s classics ‘Rain Or Shine’ and ‘System Addict’. 7th Heaven’s Jon Dixon has turned out two blinding mixes that you’re going to love – both faithful to the originals but also superbly updated for now.

7th Heaven has produced and remixed two songs for the gorgeous Deniece Pearson, the lead vocalist with 80s pop group Five Star (also styled as 5 Star).

There’s ‘System Addict’, which is a roof-raising pop/trance anthem of a mix and a rather epic pop anthem mix of my favourite Five Star song, ‘Rain Or Shine’. They’re both epic remixes.

7th Heaven’s Mirrorball Classics CD compilation is going to be AMAZING. Pumpin Media UK’s Ross Alexander has put a lot of thought into the track selection. 7th Heaven’s Jon is loving producing the tracks. Two recorded especially for the project are completed and they are sounding brilliant.

A big name UK drag act (one who can genuinely sing!) is booked to record a massive disco anthem at Jon’s Oakham studio. That’s going to be super-camp. This album is going to have transatlantic appeal with artists from the USA and Australia involved.

Once the pre-order goes live (later in the year) we will be urging you to purchase it. We can see this becoming a hugely successful series.

Just serviced to UK DJs through top DJ promotions companies Eurosolution and CD Pool the 7th Heaven mixes of Claire Richards ‘I Surrender’. It’s a big mix of a big song!

The 7th Heaven Remix Edit appears on the deluxe edition of Claire’s forthcoming album ‘Euphoria’, set for release on 25th August. The full length 7th Heaven mixes of ‘I Surrender’, ‘Song For The Lonely’, ‘Summer Night City’ and one other still in progress, will be relesed at a later date as part of an expanded edition of ‘Euphoria’.

Coming up later this year is ‘Melody Of The Music Man’, the new track from Belgian electronic duo Secret Wish, which features a remix from 7th Heaven. It’s an instrumental, which was quite unusual for us, but it is quite fabulous.

He has several releases lined up for later this year and early next year, four of which feature 7th Heaven remixes! We can’t say what just yet, but they’re all brilliant.

Rather fabulously Raymond plans to issue releases on vinyl ahead of being released digitally, so Retro Records is a vinyl collector’s dream.
